A pleasant surprise!

What a pleasant surprise to find two comments on my blog, one from my friend Gina Ferrari and the other from Jenn Mason, the editor of Cloth Paper Scissors. Of course my reaction was one of excitement and disbelief, my high pitched squeals caused my daughters who were at home to rush into the room to find out what was happening. It was as if I had won the lottery. Thank you Jenny for reading my blog and leaving such a wonderful comment. I agree that the world would be a better place if they were more people like Joyce. As I share my work with others, especially the children I work with I can only hope that I too will be a positive influence in their lives.
I have found that writing this blog has been a way of documenting my thoughts and it has also been a way of sharing not only my ideas about the creative process but also about who I am. Initially, I wanted it to be only about my work but I know now that as I share my work I will also have to share some aspects of my life and experience in order to give a true understanding of it.

Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog...... I don't always get presentation etc right, but that's part of the challenge isn't it? I found your post re ex tutor interesting and agree with how profound an effect a good teacher can have. It made me "Google" one of my mine and I had a wonderful time seeing what she has been up to.
