Sunny Days

It has been almost a month since my last blog, I have been working steadily on my quilt and still have not finished. Life has been going on with the usual juggling of home activities, children and work. The weather has been great and I love it, but the price I have to pay for this great weather is itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose and throat, in spite of this minor setback I am able to get more done than I do in winter. I love the sun.

About two weeks ago I had an interesting meeting with a couple of Art Teachers from a college near to where I live and it is the school where Melissa attends. The meeting was very stimulating and I shared some of my work with them and they shared some of their ideas with me, it was hopefully the beginning of something which will benefit us all. During our discussion we shared ideas and both Alison and Catherine were impressed with an artist whose name is Wangechi Mutu, I had not encountered before and on my return home I did a search on her work and was fascinated to find out about her work.
