About Face
I finished About Face and sent it off on Wednesday to Festival of Quilts. It is always a surprise to me how messy my studio becomes when I am juggling workshops and creating my own work. It has now been tidied and I am trying to get my incomplete work all done. Next year I will make a smaller quilt, it it just too difficult working on a large scale with limited space and without a long arm quilting machine.
Last month I attended the most interesting talk at the http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/index.html about Afro combs, I took two of my daughters Melissa and Selena. It was really fascinating and we were totally amazed by the information about the number of teeth and their sizes to the different handles, their history and materials used to make them. I am eager to find out more.
I will now spend my evening catching up on reading the blogs I follow.
